2021年12月20日,《2021年中国科学院文献情报中心期刊分区表》发布，由中山大学肿瘤防治中心主办的 Cancer Communications 首次进入医学大类1区Top期刊行列，也是唯一进入肿瘤学小类1区的国内期刊。肿瘤学小类共有242本期刊，其中进入中科院期刊分区1区的有16本。
