中国渔网2006年12月28日报道，英帕尔，一个印度东北部小城市，为了促进国家渔业发展，扩大养殖业规模。一个命名为渔业发展基地的组织于2006年12月24日成立。近日在曼尼普尔马高等院校举行开业典礼。Kumbi Bazar和著名经济学家N Mohendro、教育学家Khangembam和教师Laishram作为高等来宾出席了开业典礼。基地主席和来客代表分别在会上作了开业致词。

2006年12月5日，冰岛-挪威金融集团格里特利尔（Glitnir）有限公司在上海正式开设代表处，冰岛外交大臣斯伏瑞斯杜特夫人与格里特利尔银行首席执行官阿曼森主持了开幕仪式，来自中国政府以及上海市政府的重要官员和驻上海、中国乃至亚洲的北欧商界代表参加了开幕式。这是第一家也是唯一在亚洲运作的冰岛银行在进入中国市场后“剑走偏锋”，选择在几个特定的专业领域提供金融服务，其中包括海鲜行业。

中国渔网2006年12月30日报道，如果全球变暖趋势照目前速度发展下去，到本世纪末蓝鳍太平洋海域金枪鱼储存量将遭到严重打击。以Shingo Kimura（东京大学海洋环境科学系教授）为首的研究小组，向世人发出警告说：由于过度捕捞，金枪鱼数量已经遭到严重打击，随着全球海洋温度的不断升高，等海水温度高于鱼适宜生长温度时，金枪鱼数量还会进一步减少。
