据中创网2007年1月19日消息，如今餐桌上的鱼很多是来自鱼塘人工养殖的淡水鱼。这里介绍的同样也是人工养殖，却完全属于另外一种概念——工厂化养鱼。最近，由日本东京海洋大学竹内俊郎教授主持的科研小组开发的这种全新养殖方式，将鱼置于封闭环境中，让它在一套物质循环系统中生长。它不仅可以作为对日趋减少的野生鱼类的补充，同时也为将来在空间站养鱼，改善航天员的饮食结构开辟了一条有效途径。
