2019年10月31日—11月7日，为执行园艺所和微生物所联合承担的项目“中亚果树资源利用及栽培技术示范”，项目组成员一行4人赴吉尔吉斯斯坦开展项目的执行工作。项目组在吉尔吉斯斯坦伊塞克湖州伊塞克湖国家果树实验站和楚河州阿拉曼金国家果树实验站开展了实地考察研究，引进各类果树资源50份；就项目示范园中果树腐烂病生物防治效果进行了调查统计；对吉国相关科技人员及农户进行果树高产栽培技术培训3场次。

自然出版集团与南京农业大学今天（2013年6月7日）宣布将于2014年出版在线期刊Horticulture Research《园艺研究》。该期刊将采用开放获取形式，2014年1月在nature.com正式上线发行，并将在2013年第四季度开始接收投稿。此次合作是在本周于上海科学会堂举行的麦克米伦科学和教育集团上海办公室成立仪式上宣布的。
