教育部科技发展中心2007年3月8日报道 对于一根已拉伸的橡胶圈你可以很容易的测量出作用力。但是标准的弹性材料理论不能测量这种力。最近研究学家通过试验得出一项结论，他们考虑了以前被忽略的橡胶间的分子间作用力。该理论并不能为疲劳结构提出新的见解，但是却解决了自从20世纪40年代就困扰科学家们的问题。
