广东外语外贸大学语言工程与计算实验室是于2013年12月经广东省教育厅批准成立的广东省哲学社会科学重点实验室，也是广东外语外贸大学第一个省级文科重点实验室。2014年6月，语言工程与计算实验室正式挂牌启动。2014年12月，语言工程与计算实验室被批准为广东省国家级重点实验室培育平台。
2005年,由教育部语言文字信息管理司与华中师范大学共建“国家语言资源监测与研究中心网络媒体语言分中心”，中心机构设在华中师范大学教育信息技术工程研究中心，杨宗凯校长任中心主任。经过5年的建设，取得了较好的成绩，2010年语言文字信息管理司通过了对网络媒体语言分中心的验收。2012年，为深化已有的建设成果，建立网络媒体语言监测的长效机制，更名为“国家语言资源监测与研究网络媒体中心”，归属于国家语委...

北京大学计算语言学研究所成立于1986年。研究所的使命是致力于计算语言学理论、语言信息处理的基础资源和应用技术三方面的研究，同时也承担培养计算机软件与理论专业、语言学专业的博士研究生和硕士研究生的任务。目前（2004年）研究所工作人员包括在职研究人员和博士后研究人员18名，其中14名有博士学位、教授1名、副教授6名。
