北京大学心理系发展心理学研究室（原名儿童心理实验室）由著名心理学家孙国华先生创建于1955年秋，著名的心理学家吴天敏、许政援曾经在这里工作过。现任主任为周晓林教授。目前，该所现有主要科研人员4人：周晓林、苏彦捷、陈萍、孟祥芝。心理系发展心理学研究室科研人员年龄结构实现了年轻化、国际化，多方引进国际、国内人才，积极开展国内外学术交流与合作。
