俄语是北京外国语大学开设历史最长的专业，1981年11月经国务院学位委员会批准，为硕士学位授予点；1986年7月经国务院学位委员会批准，为博士学位授予点。现有在校学生256名，其中本科生208名，硕士生35名，博士生10名，3人在博士后流动站工作。
