近日,研究人员发现,2019~2020年澳大利亚野火排放的二氧化碳是之前报告的两倍多。另一项独立研究显示,这些野火释放的气溶胶很可能导致了几千公里外南大洋的严重浮游生物水华现象。研究结果凸显出野火、生态系统、气候之间的复杂关系。相关论文2021年9月15日刊登于《自然》。
一项最新研究表明,火山排放的二氧化碳导致了地球上最大的物种灭绝事件——二叠纪末大灭绝。

由美国、挪威等多个国家科学家组成的研究团队对全球化石花粉进行数据分析,发现从大约3000到4000年前开始,地球植物群落开始加速变化,生长范围逐渐扩展到以前冰冻土地上,并很快适应了全球气温升高约10华氏度的气候变化。研究表明,人类自农耕文明开始即对全球生态系统产生了重要影响,并一直持续到现在。该研究成果发表在《科学》杂志上。
